2013年から2014年まで米国留学しました。
I was studying abroad in the U.S. from 2013 to 2014.
一年も日本に帰ってこれない、、、と思うと、
想像もできない恐怖が襲ってきた記憶があります。
周りの友達には一年会えないのか、、、
あのラーメン屋もう一年もいけないのか、、、（これ、実際留学中にお気に入りのラーメン屋潰れて、おいっ！！！ってなりました。やるせない。）
When I thought that I can’t come back to Japan for a year, I felt unimaginable horror before departure.
Study abroad made me unable to see my friends for a year, and also my FAVORITE ramen shop.
Actually, my favorite ramen shop was closed in this period. I couldn’t do anything for this.
怖かったのでリュックにはPCに、ミッキーを詰め込んで成田空港から出発！
貴重な手荷物容量でしたが、有効な使い方でした。
When I leave Japan, I was with my hero MICKEY in the bag.
I only brought him and PC into the plane. Such a effective way of using baggage.
成田空港を出発し、ジョン・F・ケネディ空港へ、
夜にNYに到着しました、激さむ！！！！
I flew from Narita Airport to JFK airport in New York. Arrived at night in super cold New York.
9月上旬でしたが、（もちろん日本は半袖）
ニューヨークは信じられないくらい寒い！！！
それまで知らなかったのですが、実は青森県と同じ緯度なのです。
冬の格好しても、ガタガタ震えながら空港から学校の寮へ向かいました。
However it was early September, the temperature in NY was tooo cold.
I didn’t know at that time though, New York City is located at about the same latitude with Aomori prefecture which is snowy place in Japan.
ちなみに、みんなが想像するいわゆるニューヨークは、ニューヨークシティ（ニューヨーク市）のことです。よくNYCと表記されます。
このNYCは、ニューヨーク州に属しています。ニューヨーク州というと、かなり広く、カナダとの国境まで広がっています。
The New York that everyone imagines is New York City, written as NYC.
NYC belongs to New York State which is so large and next to Canada.
ニューヨーク州の中でNYCは最南部で、ほんの一部なのです

New York City is the southwest part of New York State.
アメリカ人に「ニューヨークに行ってきた！」と言うと
“State? or NYC?”なんてよく聞かれます。
When I tell American “I’ve been to New York!”, they often ask me “State or City?”
次の日、、！
NYCが見渡せるロックフェラーセンターの展望台に行きました。
結構エレベーターを待たないといけなくて、並んでたんですが、
The second day in the U.S., I went to the observation deck of Rockefeller Center where we can overlook NYC.
We were in the long line to take the elevator going up to the rooftop.
そんな我々をみてか、
エレベーターの待ち時間に警備員が ”trouble maker” を歌い、踊り出す
The man who was a staff there suddenly sing “Trouble Maker” and danced. He tried to entertain us while waiting for the elevator.
アカペラですよ！
これがアメリカか！！、、いきなり度肝を抜かれましたね。
It was a cappella! He only one guy started to sing and dance.
I was so shocked to watch his show, and understood this is AMERICA.
観光客っぽい人が多かったからか、、とも思いましたが、
1年住んでみて分かったけど、こーゆーの、日常の風景だったのです。
いつでもどこでもお調子者でハイテンション！
アメリカってすごいね！！彼らの自由で明るい、こういうところは好きです。
There were many tourists and there was a good stage to show the American entertainment.
Later I found this entertainment like his show is absolutely usual situation for American. Whenever and wherever it is, Americans are in good condition and have bright personality. So NICE!
でも、これみる方も大事で、
アメリカなので手拍子と、ヒューヒュー指笛が鳴り響いてましたが
日本で日本人の警備員のおじさんが急に歌って踊り出したら、、、
その場はどうなるんでしょうかね。。。
人にやさしい世界へ！！
In his show, the crowd around him sang, clapped and blew the finger whistle. Everybody there was excited the show in a fun atmosphere.
I’m curious what would happen if the Japanese guard suddenly begins singing to entertain people in Japan.
Wish a kind world.
