天空の街、クスコでの食事はこんな感じ。
下界と同じ、肉とポテトです。
This is what we ate in Cusco, the city in the sky.
It’s the same as down under, meat and potatoes.
米も食べるんですねー
They eat rice too.
日本人が働いている日本食レストランもありました。
There was a Japanese restaurant where Japanese worked.
レストランKINTARO！！ restaurant KINTARO!
やはり日本食はどの国に行っても高級料理店！！
After all, Japanese food is a fine dining experience no matter which country you go to!
でも日本円だとカツ丼500円と、まあまあリーズナブル
そしてまあまあ美味しい
It costed 5$ which is inexpensive in Japan and was not bad taste.
宿の予約なしにクスコに飛び込んできたわけですが、
現地で見つけた“Point hostel”という宿に泊まりました。
I flew into Cusco without a reservation.
I stayed at a hostel called “Point hostel” that I found on the spot.

とてもカラフルでアゲアゲな宿でしたー
Very colorful and energetic place to stay!
世界から集まったバックパッカーたちが集うかなり大きな宿でした。
クスコのゲストハウスは100人くらい宿泊できるくらいのビッグサイズの宿が多めでした。
It was a large inn where backpackers from all over the world gathered.
Most of the guesthouses in Cusco were big enough to accommodate about 100 people.
これ宿のリビング的なところです。
テレビがあって、ソファーがあって、卓球台もある！
世界の旅人たちとピンポンで交流できます。
This is the living room-like area of the inn.
There’s a TV, a sofa, and a ping-pong table!
You can play ping pong with other travelers from around the world.
でも朝食は相変わらずこんなんです。
but breakfast is still like this.
庭にはBARや広場があって素晴らしい。
オススメのゲストハウスです！
The garden is wonderful with a BAR and a plaza.
I highly recommend this guesthouse!
でも標高高すぎて、激しい運動できません。笑
However, the altitude is too high for strenuous exercise. LOL!
この当時ブラジルワールドカップの時期でした。
クスコの街でご飯を食べていたら、日本代表戦始まる時間に！！！
At that time, it was the time of the World Cup in Brazil.
While I was having dinner in Cusco, it was time for the Japan national team game to start!
試合観戦のために走って宿に戻る。
I ran back to the inn to watch the game.
でも走っちゃダメだよ、
って
”Don’t run in Cuzco.”
この高山病の薬買った薬局のおばさんにも言われたし、ネットにも書いてたなあ。
The lady at the pharmacy where I bought this medicine for altitude sickness told me about it, and I’ve read about it on the Internet as common knowledge.
案の定、宿について、過呼吸状態。
頭は痛いわ、肺は限界だわ、、もうほんと、大変でした。
Sure enough, when I got to the inn, I was hyperventilating.
My head was hurting, my lungs were killing me, and I was really having a hard time.
何とか、キックオフに間に合う！
Somehow, we made it to kickoff!
ちゃんと南米ペルー、さらにはアンデス山脈の山頂の街でも中継されてるんだ、、と思ったのが率直な感想です。
Frankly speaking, I was amazed that they were able to broadcast live in Peru, South America, and even in a city at the top of the Andes Mountains.
舐めすぎですかね？
Licking too much?
ここの現地民、マラソン大会すごそう。
The locals here seem to be great at marathons.
標高3400m、なめてました。
I was underestimating the altitude of 3400 meters.
