飛行機に乗れなくて、マック

Can’t fly Eat Mac

リマ市街をある程度楽しんだら次の都市、同じペルー国内の都市クスコに飛行機で移動します。

クスコといえば、かのマチュピチュ旅の拠点となる街です。

Flew to Cusco from Lima, Peru.

Cusco is famous for travel base of “Machu Picchu”.

 Lima→Cusco

基本的に旅先の深いリサーチはせずにいつも旅しているのですが、

この南米旅はマチュピチュやウユニ塩湖など行きたいところ盛りだくさん。

タイトなスケジュールだけは決まってます。

However, basically I don’t research any information of travel destination,

we had a tight schedule for this South America trip to visit Machu Picchu, Uyuni lake and so on.

じゃんじゃか移動しないといけません。

We had to move city to city quickly.

いざ空港へ！

そこで事件が。

Headed to the airport, then we had a problem.

カウンターでチェックインしようとすると、

スタッフのお姉さんが歯切れの悪い感じに、、、

「あのー、申し訳ないのですが、お客様は搭乗できません。」

When I checked in at the counter, the staff said this with reluctance.

“You can’t board. I’m sorry for that.”

おー、どうしたー？

Oh, so what’s wrong?

もちろん予約もちゃんとできているし、時間通り空港にも到着してます。

I of course completed my reservation and arrived at the airport on time.

聞いてみると、「席が埋まっている」とのこと。

Asked the reason, then found that the airplane which I reserved was full.

おっ、なんですかーそれ笑

予約しているのに席が埋まっているとは、、ハテナすぎます。

Come on, what are you saying??

That didn’t make sense the seats were not available despite my completed reservation.

これ、「オーバーブッキング」といって

航空会社が搭乗予約のキャンセルを見越して

搭乗可能数以上に予約を受け付けることなのです。

This is called “Overbooking”.

The airline company accepts more reservations than it can board in anticipation of cancellation of the boarding reservation.

いやいや座席数以上受け付けるなよ。笑

Needless to say, don’t accept overbooking. lol

今回初めて被害に遭いました。

This was my first time to experienced “this disaster”.

すっごい抗議しましたけど、埋まっちゃったんで〜の一点張り。

I claimed aggressively a lot though, the staff just treated us simply with “seats are full.”.

発狂です。

I went mad.

ペルー国内の飛行機移動だったのですが、

地球の裏側から来ているアジア人優遇してくれよ！そこらへんのペルー人より！！マチュピチュ行けなくなるじゃねーか！！こっちはスケジュール組んでるんだよ！

This flight was domestic line in Peru.

Please give priority for Asian came from the other side of the earth!!

We had a super tight schedule compared to others!! haha

ほんっと信じられない。

もしかしたら既にチェックインしている人がキャンセルするかもしれない、ということで

搭乗直前の人びとのキャンセル待ちを待つという謎の状態に。

That’s unbelievable.

Perhaps there were someone who cancel boarding after checking in.

The airline staff recommended us to wait for these saints.

我々はロビーにいる人に睨みを効かせ、「キャンセルしろおおおおお」と念を送り続けます、、

We prayed someone’s cancel by gazing and sending “force” to people waiting boarding.

、、が流石に効果なく、無事満席で離陸していきました。。

コロンビアの航空会社、アビアンカ航空です。

…  of course it didn’t work.  The airplane took off with full seats.

That’s Avianca, Colombian airplane.

実はその後の便も満席で、スタッフからは次の次の便を確保したとの連絡。

遅いってー。

マチュピチュがあああーーー。

We were contacted to wait for a flight after next one.

Its going to be so late.  OMG my great schedule for Machu Picchu.

謝罪の言葉とともに渡されたのが、マックのサービス券。

Macdonald free ticket was given with apologizing.

こいつ、、マックのセットでなだめようとしやがって

苛立ちまくりましたが、

とりあえずマクドナルドに全てをぶつける！！

The staff calmed me down with cheap Macdonald burgers!!

I was crazy angry though, focused on eating Mac!!

爆食いしてやりました。

Vacuumed everything.

でもハート型のチーズがあったから、ほんわか幸せ〜

Found the heart shape CHEESE, such a happinesss 😉

ってなるかい！

Can’t be!!!!

そんなこんなで、

クスコはアレハンドロ・ベラスコ・アステテ国際空港に到着！

Then I finally arrived Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport in Cusco.

山の頂上に街が！！

The town on the mountaintop.

普通空港に着陸する時高度を落としますよね、

今回空港の標高高すぎて高度あげて山登ってそのまま空港に着陸しました。

この空港は標高3000m越え！

The plane normally falls down to land.

This time the plane didn’t fall down and just landed with keeping high aviation altitude.

This airport is located 3000m above sea level!!

雲が近い！！

The clouds were right there.

乗れたけど飛ばない。Got in, not Flew

行きだけならまだしも、実は帰りもトラブルありまして、

The plane troubles were not only going but returning.

普通に搭乗して滑走路に入ります、

徐々に加速していって、、

Got in the plane, the plane was running into the run way.

then accelerating,,,

飛ばない！！！

just running, not flew.

ええっ！

What!?

結局飛ばずに滑走路をMaxスピードで駆け抜けていき、滑走路の先でゆっくり止まります。

The plane just ran with high speed then stopped at the end of run way.

いやいやいやめっちゃ怖い！！

That was crazy.  Terrible.

なに！？なんのトラブル？！

という感じで機内はざわつきながら飛行機は戻っていきます。

What’s happened??  Any troubles?!

The plane was going back to the deck with noisy cabin.

この安全性とかに全く信頼を置けない南米でのこれはめっちゃビビります。

What is scary was the safety in South America where I could never trust safety.

空港の横に機体をつけて、係員が入ってきます。

車内の中で作業を始める、、

The plane stayed beside a airport and a lot of staff came into the aircraft to repairing.

1時間くらい作業してました。この間客はずっと座りっぱなし。

Almost 1 hour passed after they came.  The guest were sitting while repairing time.

え、もしかしてこの機体で飛ぶつもりですか？

さっきダメだったのに、この機体で再チャレンジするの？？笑

I really wondered using this aircraft again…?

How come trying again with defective aircraft???

めっちゃ怖いんですけど、一回降ろして！！

もう今回スケジュールはどうでもいいから！

It was so scary. Please let me out of here!!!!

I don’t care the schedule this time!

JALとかANAとかなら洗練された整備士たちが隅々まで確認して、

本当に大丈夫なんだなと、理解できるけど、

Aviancaだからなあー！！

If it was Japanese airline, I could trust serious Japanese mechanics’ polite work.

It was Avianca though!!!

このおじさんたちで解決できるのか？？

Can these men resolve this life-threatening problem???

アナウンスもさっぱりで状況掴めず

No information I got from the CA’s announcement.

結局1時間後に乗客は全員降ろされることになりました。

ダメやったんかい！！

Finally, everyone was taken off the plane one hour after the boarding time.

… they didn’t work!!!!!

まあ、命がかかってますからね、万全でない機体から降りれたということで一安心。

Well, the life is most important.  It was good to be taken off from an incomplete airplane.

いやあー命拾いしたと思い、空港ロビーで待つことに。

So I thanked God, then waited at the lobby.

また数時間後の便に乗ることになりました。

The flight a few hours later was reserved for us.

案内があり、機内に乗り込みます。

Was called, and headed for plane.

あれ、、これさっきのじゃね。

Umm,,,   That plane is exactly that plane, isn’t it?

まさかの、さっき飛べなかった機体に乗り込む…！！

I got in the plane which failed to fly right just before.

てっきり他の機体を準備してくれてたのかと思いきや、、

I thought with certainty the plane was replaced,,,

「機体変えてくれ。」

“Please change the aircraft, God.”

怖すぎます。

that’s scariest.

さっきの南米おじさんたち、問題解決できてるのか？！

旅の随所から感じる普段の適当な感じで整備してないよね？？

Had the South American men resolved the problem??

Didn’t they repair roughly like I felt from travel experiences??

結果無事に生きて帰ったこれたのですが、

あの時の滑走路の加速ほど飛行機で緊張したことはないです。

Eventually I came back with breathing,

The acceleration on the runway in an airport was the scariest plane experience.

まあなんだかんだ上手く行くのよねー。。

しっかり働いてくれている整備士さんたちに、、感謝。

Everything goes well eventually.

Appreciated for mechanics who work hard.

いや、しっかり働いてくれていたらそもそも飛んでたんじゃない、、、か？

Wait,,,  the plane should fly in the first place if the mechanics actually work hard…..
