カンボジアからタイへ灼熱入国 / Burning immigration to Thailand

カンボジアに別れを告げ、

タイ入国のためにタイの国境を目指します！

Goodbye for Cambodia,

Head for border with Thailand.

宿があるシェムリアップからはタイ国境までのバスが出ているので

それに乗り込みます。

We took a bus from Siem Reap to the border.

天気いいなあ

Niiice view

ただ暑すぎる！

ほんとに6月のカンボジアは息苦しいくらいの暑さ

It was toooo hot.

It was really stuffy heat in June.

だいたいバスで2時間半くらいでカンボジアとタイの国境の町、ポイペトに到着します。

Arrived in Poipet where is the town in border with Thailand in about two and half hours by bus.

ここが国境の町、ポイペトです。

This is the border town, Poipet.

人生初の陸続きの国境越えだったのでドキドキ

It was the first land continuous border crossing in my life.

ていうかほんとにここなのか、という不安

I was worried if we were in right place.

一応、DEPERTURESって書いてる。

It was described as “DEPERTURERS”.

いや、わかりにくい！

クメール語の表記がでかすぎてわかりにくいわあ、英語小さい！

Very confusing.

Khmer notation was too large to notice English one.

説明少なすぎるんだよなあ

Lack of explanation.

国境審査は出店のカウンターみたいなところでした。

ここで、合ってる？

The border examination was like a counter and along the road.

Is it the right place what we wanted to go?

警備員は基本銃所持なので、こわいなあ。

Securities having a gun made me being scary.

まあとりあえず、

まったく言語が通じないなかで

国境を越えたそうな人たちがなす行列に並び、

かなり待ち、

なんやかんやありなされるがまま

必要以上に指紋を取られたりしながら

出国審査OKっぽかったので、

国境ゲートっぽいところに向かいます。

By the way,

I tried lining up in line with people who wanted to cross the border.

witing for a long time, being taken all fingerprints

all in all, it seemed that I passed examination, so I headed for the border-like gate.

まあ、場所がわかりにくいけど国境難易度は低いです。

In summary, the difficulty of immigration procedures was low, even though there was no explanation.

ちなみにタイは

滞在1ヶ月以内、観光目的なら日本人はビザ不要！

Non required for VISA to enter Thailand for Japanese, if the stay is less than one month.

人口：6800万人、首都はバンコク

Population: 68 million,   Capital:  Bangkok

両国のフレンドシップのサインがあったので、ここらへんが国境なんだな、

I thought here must be the border because of this “friendship” sign which was the only clue.

それでは！タイ入国！

Finally, let us enter to Thailand!

カンボジア側は街がありましたが、

タイ側は結構田舎、周りは草っ原って感じです。

There was a town on the Cambodian side, on the other hand, there was only grassland on the Thai side.

タイの国境からバンコクに向かいます。

まさに国境からバスが出ているので、交通手段はバスを使います。

The plan was going to Bangkok by bus from there.

国境を越えて少し歩くと、ここが絶対にバス停なんだろうな！というスポットが道路沿いにあります。

観光客がたくさん集まっているのでここでバスを待ちます。

I found the BUS stop with many tourists clearly by a few min walking from the border.

There was nothing except this place.

ただ待つ。

Just waiting

めちゃくちゃ待つ。

Waiting like “HACHI”

わたしの人生でのバスの待ち時間史上、最長でした。

It was the longest bus-waiting in my life.

気温が暑すぎて環境が酷だったのもあると思いますが、

この待ち時間はやばかったなあ。

This was the most terrible waiting time because of the hot temperature.

とりあえず何時にくるのか

どこに来るのか、

どこに行くのか、ちゃんとわかるかなー

なんて不安も暑すぎてもはやどうでもいい

Because of the hot, I no longer had such concerns like a bus schedule, bus stop place, destinations, etc.

この、あほレインボー柄のテラスからどこでも良いから連れ出してくれ。

I begged to being taken me out anywhere.

殺人的な日射のもと、

レインボーの申し訳程度の日よけの下でひたすら耐える。

On murderous sunshine,

I continued to endure under this unreliable rainbow shade.

太陽が傾いてきて日向は増えるわ、

喉は乾くわ、、

With the sun tilting, the shade was decreasing.

Becoming thirsty,,,

一番の問題がコンビニ的なものがないのです。

まあ、タイだし、国境が結構田舎だししょうがないけど、

The worst point was that there was no convenience store.

こんな暑いのに、冷たい飲み物が買えない！！

死んでまう。

We couldn’t buy anything like cold drink.

Death was approaching…

熱中症気味になりながら

残っているペットボトルのぬるい（もうほぼ熱い）水を飲む

Drinking hot water left in pet bottle feeling slightly heatstroke.

コンビニこそありませんが、

なんかゴロゴロ、クーラーボックスみたいな台車を引いてるおじいちゃん発見。

Found a salesman-like elderly man with the cooler box, although there was no convenience store.

冷えた飲み物をゲットするチャンス！

This was a big chance to buy a cool drink.

なのに、

However,

売ってるの、甘々のアイスとそのアレンジの甘々パン。

The crazy man was selling only SWEET ice cream and arranged SWEET bread with that ice.

もうイラっ、としましたね。

Irritated.

買うけど、買うけどね。

Bought actually.

暇すぎて買いますよ。

No choice but to buy.

I had too much time then.

フラフラになりながら、

甘々パンでさらに体内の水分量を低下させる。

While the consciousness was stunned,

the body water content was reduced by eating SWEET bread.

またじーーーーーっと待っていると

ようやくバス到着！

Waiting again, the  bus finally arrived.

いや予約も何もないし、来たはいいけど全員乗れんのか？

というイライラからくる不安。

Can we all get on the bus with no reservation??

I worried about the loose rules.

.

ただ、結構大きめのバスで、

無事乗り込めました。

The bus was relatively large enough to get in, despite my worries.

結局どうにかなります、海外。

Eventually, it works every time overseas.

それではバンコクへGO！
