米国留学中の1ヶ月強のバケーション期間を使って南米を旅しました。ちょうどサッカーブラジルW杯の期間で盛り上がっている南米大陸にIN！！！

I traveled South America while one month vacation during study abroad in the U.S.

It was exciting there because just football World Cup in Brazil was being held.

日本から南米に旅行しようとすると、15万円以上はかかってしまいます。移動時間も1日以上かかって結構ハードル高いですよね。

驚いたのですが、北米から南米はやはりイージー！！

ニューヨークから3万円台でさくっとペルーに飛べました。

However it costs more than 1500$ to travel South America from Japan,

it was super easy to travel there from North America.

It costs only 300$ from NYC.

ペルーとは。。。

人口：3300万人、首都はリマ

Peru for the first in South America!

Population: 33 million, Capital: Lima

日本人なら、観光であればビザ不要です。

Not required for VISA to enter Cambodia as a tourist for Japanese.

まず空港に降り立ち、出口に向かうと何十人ものやばめの男たちがこちらをじっとみている。

Arriving the airport, I found dozens of people staring at us at the exit.

空港を出た瞬間に「タクシータクシーーー！！」の声

アイドルの出待ち状態で、何十人もの運転手が観光客の取り合いで

集っているゾンビ映画のようでした。びっくりです。南米スタイルを感じる！！

Immediately after exiting, I heard the scream “Taxi!!! Taxi!!!!!”.

Bunch of taxi drivers were waiting us like idols fan. They aggressively gathered towards us like a zombie! I felt “South Americanness” then.

フェイクタクシーもあるので、気をつけよ！

There was also “Fake Taxi” to watch out for!

日本ではほぼほぼ見かけませんが、

Even though we can’t find fake taxi in Japan,

フェイクタクシーに乗ってしまうと、法外な値段を請求されたり、ヤバめな場所に連れて行かれて何かされたり等々大変なことになってしまうので気をつけましょう。

If you take fake taxi, you would get an high price charge or be taken to a strange place and so on,,

車体のデザインやメーターの種類、ナンバープレート等フェイクタクシーを見分ける方法があるのでそこだけは勉強していきましょう。

There are many ways to distinguish whether it is fake or not like design of car or interior, number plate etc. Recommend to check it out before arriving!

メーターがついていようが、フェイクタクシーで無かろうが、

経験上、空港に降り立った外国人には100%ぼったくりを仕掛けてきやがります。

空港から市街へのタクシー料金の相場はネットに公開されていますが、その3倍から5倍をふっかけてくる輩ばかりですので、ちゃんと交渉するようにしましょう。

Regardless of fake taxi or not, we should negotiate with a driver who almost certainly rip off against foreign person who just arrived the airport.

Even though we can find appropriate fare to town on the internet, many drivers tried to negotiate for 3-5 times the appropriate fare.

DO NEGOTIATE!!

先進国以外でのタクシーの乗り方 HOW TO take a taxi in non developed countries.

1. ヤバそうでない運転手・タクシーを選ぶ（運ちゃんのお誘いを断り続けて、1番しつこくない人が良いでしょう）

1. Choose a good looking driver who is not persistent.

2. 相場や、相場より下の金額を提示してしっかり値段交渉バトルをする（5倍くらいの値段の開きからスタートすると思いますが、負けずに粘りましょう笑）

2. Do negotiate until getting the market fare.

3. 危なそうな時は、Google mapで正しい方向に最短距離で向かっているのか確認する。（空港で、もしくは事前に現地のGoogle mapをダウンロードしておくとオフラインでも現在地がわかるので、便利です。）

3. Check your location while driving. You can use Google Map even when you are offline by downloading in advance.

とにかく、強い心を持ち、いいなりにならずに闘えるメンタルを持つことが重要なのです！

空港でのタクシー集りは何度も経験しているので、私は強靭なメンタルと、運転手の顔を見ただけで大体の安全性は判断できる目を手に入れました。

Anyway, the important thing is having strong mental to negotiate aggressively.

Experiencing a lot of these taxi case in the airport, I finally got skill to distinguish fake taxi only by drivers face.

ただ、本当に悪い人はほんの一部で、初めは信じられないくらいぼったくってきても、車中で仲良くなれば良心的な金額にまけてくれたりします。

結局は人の子なので、良い情報を提供したり、楽しい時間を共に過ごせたりすると、仲間のような感覚になるのでしょうか、、そんなにひどいことにはなりません。

（砂漠の中心に連れて行かれて恐喝されたこともありますが。笑）

There are rarely bad drivers, I feel from my experience. Even though a driver tried to rip me off in the beginning, he discounted the fare at last if we became friends.

We can avoid the worst case if we create good relationship with a driver by providing nice information or having fun time together. Bad guy is human being, after all.

何より大切なのは、全てを受け入れる、認める、ポジティブな姿勢です。

フェイクタクシーだからといって敵対する意識でコミュニケーションしてもプラスなことは何も生まれないのです！

The most important thing may keep being positive.

Nothing is born from bad communication. We can’t gain anything from talking in a hostile position even it’s fake taxi.

それはそうと、

やっとのことで無事公式タクシーに乗り、街中の宿に向かいます。

Finally I chose official taxi and headed to Lima town.
