旅仲間と出会う方法は意外と簡単なのです。
On a long trip, it’s better to make friends on site.

日本人バックパッカーが集まる宿、
ヤマトゲストハウスにて、、、、、
At Yamato guesthouse,,,
なぜかボルダリングがあったのでひと通り楽しみつつ、
パイセンと合流！
同年代のバックパッカーもいてすぐに仲良くなりました。
Finally we met up, and enjoy bouldering. (don’t know why they have this facility)
1階の宿で団らん。
There was a restaurant on 1st floor, we can order many dishes.
海外って、暇なんです。
というか、暇を楽しみましょう。
I felt I’m super free in foreign countries.
All we should do there is nothing.
カンボジア人はすごく時間がゆっくり流れていて
ゆーーーったり生活しているように見えました。
Cambodian seemed they had very slow life.
Looked like they haven’t done anything all day.
バックパッカーたちと語らいながらビールを飲むだけの生き物と化しました。
宿の1階にあるレストランにて、
つまみを食べビールを飲み、ひと段落したらひとつまみ注文しビールを飲み、、、という繰り返しでした。
As time goes on with backpackers, we became machines that drink beer.
Order dishes, order beer,,,,eat and drink,,,,,, order dishes,,
そんなこんなやっていると、続々とバックパッカーたちがゲストハウスに集まってきます。
気づいたら、向かい側のゲストハウスの人達までメンバーは集まってきました。
ツアーに一緒に参加した仲間らしいです。
At night, we had a lot of backpackers in guesthouse.
They were participants of tour together.
夜はみんなで街を散策！
Went out to town with new friends at night.
さすがにアンコールワット観光の拠点でもあるシェムリアップ、ヨーロッパ系も多く
Angkor Wat, that’s why Siem Reap had a lot of tourist like European.
昼とはうって変わり、夜は一転、一見怪しそうな雰囲気ですが大丈夫
Atmosphere there at night was totally changed from noon. Don’t worry for that. It was very safe town.
ただ、野生の犬は豹変し、夜になると目ん玉ひん剥いて追いかけ回してきます。
噛まれると大変です。狂犬病を発症すると、死亡率100％なので頑張って逃げましょう。
One small thing we have to be careful a little is stray dogs. They completely change at night.
Those dogs mostly have Rabies. If you were bitten and develop Rabies, you’ll die 100%. So,,, just run.
しかし、不思議なことに現地民は追いかけ回さないのです。
匂い？
However, I was chased around, those dogs didn’t chase local people…
夜ご飯は、結局この人数で
Finally, we have large number of friends for dinner,
そんなこんなで夜飯後は夜の街を練り歩きます。
カンボジア人って、テンションが高い。
After dinner, we walked around the city.
Cambodian is hyper and super friendly without exception.
ここで出会った仲間とは今（7年後）でも交流があり、月1でサウナに行ったり、1クールに1回海外旅行したりしてます。
I still contact with these friends I met there even though 6 years passed.
We go to a sauna every month and travel abroad a few times a year.
海外にバックパッカーで来ている人はやはり頭がおかしい、
中には世界一周しているパッカーも、
Backpackers in overseas are all crazy without exception.
There was a person who traveled around the world also.
面白い価値観を持ち、自由な彼らに非常に刺激され、共感したことを覚えています。
I remember being impressed by them who have various values and live freely.
現地のゲストハウスや、レストランにはたくさんのバックパッカーたちが居ます。
彼らはとてもオープンなので、ぜひここで旅仲間を作りましょう。
There are many many backpackers in local restaurants or guesthouse.
They are so open that we can be friends.
宿に帰ると犬が殺しあってました。
Dogs were killing each other when I return Yamato.
