現地民はみんな気さくで素晴らしい人間性を持っています。
歩いてるだけで手を振ったり笑顔になったり、
車が迷っていたら窓越しに街にいる人間が道案内してくれたり、車が故障したらみんなで集まって対応してくれたり、本当に気持ちが良い。
Local Nigerians have friendly and respectful characteristics.
They smiled even to strangers, guided if someone or cars were lost their way, and helped if vehicles had a problem with neighbors.

Traffic in Lagos 交通事情
とにかく道ガタガタすぎ。大都市ラゴスでも舗装されたアスファルトの道は少なく、土丸出しです。
アトラクションかってくらい揺れます。
急降下急発進急停止急旋回を繰り返します。
The road condition was terrible. There were never flat asphalt roads and were bare earth.
Driving is just like a rollercoaster.
車線はもちろんありません。
なぜかバイクの逆走はOK。 たまに車も。。
Of course there were no lane in roads so that bikes can go wrong way, even cars!
車線がないせいで、よく対向車と目の前でご対面することがあるのだが、うまーくすり抜けていくドライバー。そりゃ運転上手くなるわ。
We often face up to oncoming cars just because of no lane, our professional driver could go through the gaps. Must need professional driving techniques here.
トランクは開きっぱなしだし、荷物多すぎて紐でトランクのドア閉めてるわ、
The trunk was opened all the time, sometimes just tied trunk with a rope because of too much luggage,,
荷物ならまだしも、、
乗り切れない人間がはみ出しちゃってます。
It was still fine for the luggage, though there were even humans who were also overflowing.
7人乗りのとこに10人以上乗ってます。さらに乗るために足だけ乗ってこんな感じでつかまってるのです
10 people got into the car with 7 people limitation. Some guys just hung the foot.
こんな具合なので、車自体もボロボロです。
ぶつかって凹んだままの車。
パンクしたまま走る車。
さらには、タイヤが潰れてホイールのまま走ってる車。
As like those situation, cars themselves were broken-down.
Cars which was dented from a accident, with a flat tire, and even with a crushed tire.. so it was running on its wheel. OMG
さらにさらには！！すんごいのが！
ん？ Wait??
あ、タイヤない！！！ これが本当の三輪車！
Oh! This guy didn’t have a tire!! This is a genuine tricycle!
これ幹線道路でかなりスピード出てたんだよなああああ。。
普通に運転してんじゃねえよ！
The car was running very fast because this is the main road…
How come he could keep driving?!
右後ろの座席に座ったらガタンッてなりそう。
We should not sit in the rear-right seat, as the car would break.
トヨタの技術者の方みてますかー？アフリカではカローラはこうやって走ってます。

There was no physics law in Africa.
そして、いきなりのトラック渋滞。
Suddenly, so many tracks were stacked.
大量のタンクローリーが連なっています。石油なり運んでいるのでしょうか。
ラゴスも都市開発が進んでいるようで至る所でこのような光景が見れました。
A bunch of tunkrolly were there, maybe carrying fuels, etc.
We could see the scenery like this because many urban developments seemed to be progressing in Lagos.

沿岸部にホテル、ショッピングモール、マリーナなど、できるらしいよー
2006年ごろから構想が始まってようだが、、完成時期や進捗は不明。。。。
アフリカっぽいねえ。巨大ビジネスが発展しないアフリカ文化の中では、なかなか難しいでしょう。。。
It says there will be hotels, shopping malls, a marina, etc. in the coastal area of Lagos.
The project seemed to be started in 2006 though, they NEVER say the project completion date and progress.
That’s African style! It must be difficult to handle this kind of big project in the African culture which does not have extensive business experience.
Black market exchange「闇」両替取引
レートが安いので街中の換金所を探します。
It is good to find current exchange located in central town. It is low operation rate, not like airport.
もう当然になってきたけど、マップで指してる場所と実際の場所違いすぎ！！だからGPS使わないのか。
I’m absolutely sure the map didn’t work at all, showing completely different spot ! That’s why nobady use GPS in this country.
タクシーに乗ってましたが、ぐるぐる迷って数人の通行人に聞きながら何とか到着！
After wandering with a taxi, we finally arrived currency exchange guided by some locals directly.
プラザって地図に書いてあったからてっきりショッピングモール的なものを想像してたけど、なんだこれアパートじゃん
I thought it was a shopping mall because it said “Plaza”, but the spot was in an apartment building.
このどこかにあるらしい。
一階にたむろしている怪しそうな現地民に案内され奥へ。
暗い雰囲気。こえええー。
So, the exchange shop should be somewhere here…
I was guided into the building by very suspicious locals who were hanging around the first floor.
It was dark atmosphere and so scary..
てゆうか、電気ついてない！物理的に暗い。なぜ電気が点いていない！！
Actually, it was literally DARK! There was not any light thing. Why no light?!
おもむろにスマホを取り出し、、（スマホは持ってんのかい）
ちっちゃいライトつけたあああああああ笑
He slowly took his smartphone,,, and turned on the phone light!!!
暗いオフィス内を携帯のライトで照らすという衝撃。
換金所としての信用度0だろこれ。
電気もつけられないようなところが、絶対現金持ってないだろ！笑
That’s crazy they were using phone lights instead of building lights.
Who trust this money exchange!! They even don’t have money for the light!!
奥の部屋に通され、、電気をつけます。（つくんかい）
I was let to a back room,, then they turned on the room light. Finnaly!!
多分1日に1組も来ないんだろうね。どうやって生活してんのよ。。こいつら。
They must have lower 1 customer per day,,, how did they alive??
電気ついたらついたで、椅子と机しかないのだが。。
In that room, we could see only chairs and the desk. How simple.
「今取ってくるから待ってて。」と。
They let us wait to get money from somewhere.
待つ。
Just wait
男が現地通貨ナイラを持ってきた。
The guy brought Naira, Nigerian currency.
換金した。レートは悪くはない。
We exchenged the currency, with not bad rate.
終わった。
Done.
ラフすぎる。レート表もないし、友人同士の貸し借りぐらいラフ。
It’s not very formal. There’s no rate chart, and it’s more like a loan between friends.
これがアフリカ1位のGDP国かあ。100年くらいは先進国から遅れてる？電気付けないは逆にエコ？！
This is the top GDP country’s business style. I would say here lagging behind developed countries, in terms of ecology they may run further ahead?!
